POOL OPENINGS
When using Sweeney’s Pool Service, Inc. you can be rest assured that a licensed professional will be servicing your pool. This is so important because it verifies that our technicians are trained the correct way and can handle any situation that comes up. Some pool openings are very basic (one pump, one filter), however many pools consist of multiple pumps, filters, heaters, waterfalls, salt water systems, laminar effects, sheer descents, slides, UV systems, automated systems, etc.
With new technology coming out each season, running a pool system has become more sophisticated. Our technicians take education credits each year to stay up-to-date in order to provide our customers with exceptional service.
Fan folding cover for summer storage (any excess water and/or debris on top of cover prior to pool opening will result in additional charges)
Cover is placed in shed or garage (customer’s preference)
Plugs & skimmer gizmos are taken out and replaced with eye balls for proper water flow.
Filter site is connected and tested for any leaks (all O-rings & gaskets are lubricated to maintain a tight seal, this will also prevent pre-mature dry rotting) Depending on the temperature of the water upon opening will determine if the salt system will be started up. Different manufacturers require a minimum temperature (most above 50 degrees Fahrenheit for start-up procedure). If temperature is too cold, we will have the system connected along with electrical wiring so customer can just flip the switch once water warms up a little.
Once the filtration system is up and running (DE filters will be charged with DE powder), sand filters will be checked for proper pressure in case needs to be backwashed, & cartridge filters will be hand washed if needed for maximum flow.
Any hand-rails, diving boards, & ladders will be installed and checked for safety precautions.
Once the system is running properly, powerful granulated shock will be added to sanitize & clear the water.
Once job is completed, the lead mechanic will leave a fully detailed invoice with the customer & answer any questions.
